Day 20 - September 9, 2013

September 9, 2013

Last day for at the camp.

It is hard to describe the appreciation and satisfaction as we see the mix of animals living gracefully and peacefully in this vast and quite animal kingdom. The ecosystem is meticulously maintained by nature. At the end of the day, every life has its place and one depends on the other. It feels like we are in an animal paradise as it is meant to be. Sitting at the porch of my tent, looking at the endless grass field, there are a few giraffe and zebra wondering at the far end. I closed my eyes, smelling the fresh grass, listening to the wind passing Acacia tree tops and birds calling, feeling the warmness of morning sun, I know I am having a special moment with the most kind and loving side of nature.

Breakfast before morning game drive.

The bird is providing a spa treatment for the buffalo.

Sighting of Rhino, one of the Big-Five. Only 9 in the reserve. We saw four.

Viewing hippopotamus with a full bar.

Lion is said to "born to rule". He looks so serious.

Guess who is this?

A visit to the village in the afternoon. See how Masai people live and pay our respect for allowing us in their land. Chief David speaks fluent English and is attending University in Nairobi. Everyone shaves hair for sanitary reason.

Jeffrey's walking safari guides and guards.

Each branch on the carved stool indicates one wife of the master, and each leave is a child. This master has four wives and eight children.

Ending the night with camp fire and Masai warrior dance.

Tomorrow we will fly further south to Mozambique.
